Title: The Romantic Short Story

Class Description:  This is a hands-on, writing-intensive workshop!  Be prepared to write and submit a short story (7000 words or less) by the end of the workshop.

- Learn the essential structure and pace of the romantic short story. 
- Writing exercises to polish and sharpen your voice.
- Obtain feedback on your work in progress.
- Market information and submission guidelines.

Instructor Bio:

Julie Rowe has been writing for over ten years, and was a 2006 double GH finalist.  Her investigation into what makes some books stronger than others led to an article for the July 2008 RWR, and ever since "Love Your Voice" was released she's been receiving thanks from new writers as well as multi-published veterans who appreciate her insights and who keep asking for more.  Her articles and stories have appeared in several magazines, such as Canadian Living, Reader's Digest (Canada) and True Experience Magazine. She's been teaching writing workshops online, and creative and business writing workshops at her local city college (Keyano College) for three years.
